Nayda Thompson M.S.W., L.S.W.
Hi, I’m Nayda, a Navy Veteran and bilingual therapist passionate about helping individuals and relationships heal, grow, and thrive.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you're carrying the weight of stress, expectations, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, or the demands of parenthood. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that healing begins with feeling seen and supported in your unique experience.
I work with teens and adults navigating life transitions, identity concerns, emotional regulation, and relationship struggles. I'm especially passionate about relationship work—whether it's addressing parent-child conflict, strengthening couples’ communication, or breaking generational cycles. I provide a safe and affirming space to process emotional pain, improve connection, and set healthy boundaries.
I am also deeply passionate about supporting new mothers as they navigate the emotional and physical transitions of early parenthood. My approach includes validating each client’s unique journey, encouraging trust in their inner self, and helping set boundaries that protect their healing process. I provide therapeutic support around postpartum depression and anxiety, identity shifts, and the complex emotions that often arise during the fourth trimester. I also offer a safe space to explore challenges related to breastfeeding—processing emotional stress, societal pressure, and feeding decisions without judgment.
In our work together, I’ll help you reconnect with your inner strength and develop coping tools to support your goals. I use a strengths-based, person-centered approach, integrating evidence-based strategies like cognitive behavioral therapy to challenge unhelpful thoughts and foster long-term emotional growth.
Whether you’re rebuilding after trauma, navigating parenting, managing stress, or learning to prioritize yourself—you deserve support that honors your experience. Together, we’ll create space for healing and help you move toward the life you want to live.
