What does Depression feel like?
Depression can feel like you have a dark cloud surrounding your life to the point that you can lose interest in daily life activities. Depression can feel overwhelming and persistent, which is unlike regular mood changes that you have experienced throughout your life. These feelings can and will prevent you from living your best life by causing you to feel hopeless or pessimistic about your life. Depression can cause you to feel irritable and frustrated with the small things in life.
Depression is not only caused by major negative life changes, it can be caused by biological, psychological, and social sources of distress. These stressors can lead to physical and behavioral symptoms and can change your normal brain function. This can cause you to alter you everyday behavior, feel tired and lacking energy, and lower your self esteem.
