Clinical Therapist

As a mental health therapist, I am dedicated to helping teens through adults through individual therapy navigate the complexities of their emotional and psychological well-being. My approach is eclectic, drawing from various therapeutic methods to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs. I have extensive experience in addressing anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, self-esteem issues, grief, and loss, as well as supporting those struggling with addictions such as gambling, eating, and alcohol addiction.

My role as a therapist is deeply enriched by my many years of experience as a hospice nurse. In hospice care, I learned the profound importance of being fully present, listening with empathy, and understanding the entirety of a person's life story. These lessons are integral to my work as a therapist, where I adopt a trauma-informed approach to help clients identify patterns shaped by their past experiences. This understanding allows clients to better comprehend their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

In both therapy and hospice care, the focus is on building a deep, compassionate relationship. I believe that healing occurs through these meaningful connections, where clients can feel truly seen and heard. Therapy, like hospice care, is a collaborative process. I work closely with clients to develop coping skills and strategies that empower them to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Ultimately, my dual roles as a therapist and hospice nurse have taught me that being present with someone in their moments of pain, growth, and healing is one of the most powerful gifts we can offer. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with confidence and trust.
