Aaron Curtin, M.S.W., LSW, ACM-SW

Clinical Therapist

I specialize in supporting adults and couples facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who may be exploring or questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University with a Concentration: Advanced Clinical Practice, Individuals and Families and my Bachelors in Social Work from Temple University.

My expertise extends to:

  • Major Depressive Disorder

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Mania

  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

  • Panic Disorder

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Relationship issues

  • Addiction

I utilize evidence-based treatments supported by peer-reviewed literature and clinical research to ensure an approach that is effective, safe, trauma-informed, and well-regarded within the behavioral health field. Therapeutic modalities I employ include:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

  • Attachment-Based Marriage and Family Therapy (ABMFT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

In addition to these methods, I adopt a Whole Person Health perspective, which views individuals holistically rather than focusing solely on specific symptoms, conditions, or diagnoses. By considering the interconnected social, behavioral, environmental, and biological factors affecting a person’s mental health, I aim to promote overall well-being. My focus extends beyond treating specific mental health diagnoses to fostering resilience, enhancing behavioral health, and emphasizing prevention throughout the lifespan. I strive to create a compassionate, empathetic, and welcoming environment for all.

I begin the therapeutic process with a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment conducted collaboratively with clients. This includes connecting individuals with physical health providers—such as physicians and nurse practitioners—to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan tailored to each client's unique goals and needs, ultimately aiming to achieve improved mental well-being.
